Students learn from trained professionals how to shape the development of children at Caddo Kiowa’s Early Care Education program in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
The Early Care and Education training program at CKTC prepares students to be licensed teachers in early care education facilities, child care centers and meets the licensing and stars criteria of Oklahoma for master teacher.
If you enjoy creating fun and amazing activities for children and shaping the development of children then this is just the career choice for you.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that since parents will continue to need assistance during working hours to care for their children so will the demand for qualified early care professionals.
Students may earn certifications in Pre-PAC National Family & Consumer Sciences Education and The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.

Adults and in-district high school juniors and seniors can apply.
Program Costs
In-District High School Students – TUITION-FREE
In-District Adult Students – $2.50 per credit hour + supplies
Out-of-District Adult Students – $5 per credit hour + supplies
Schedule
Classes are Monday through Friday from August to May.

Recommendations
Early Care and Education classes are rigorous and require some skill and safety measures. The following are considerations prospective students should keep in mind:
Reading, writing and math – 8th-grade level
Pass safety test
Patience
Have a rapport and work with children of multiple age groups
Be able to feed, change diapers and clean up after children
Safety & responsibility for self & others
Stooping/bending/standing/sitting
Working long hours
NO Felonies
